Audio-Visual Programming . Interactive Installations . Sound ArtAbout.
Drawing influence from Computer Science and interactive art, Robin creates audio-visual artworks based on computational processes. These processes are visualised and presented in an interactive form that allows people to explore or influence the outcome as it unfolds. Robin's approach is intended to demystify the work by exposing the structure of the algorithms and the relationship to the sounds they control.
Robin is a PhD student at Queen Mary Unversity of London, researching interactive music systems. He has also worked as a freelance programmer and has collaborated with several audio-visual companies such as Coda Arts and Big Dog Interactive. His sound compositions have been played at the DMRN Summer Conference, WKCR radio in New York, and EuCuE xxvii, Universite Concordia.
